Day 79. Gimme a Friggin' Break.

Woke up to a blizzard. Fantastic.

Determined to go to the gym again today. Only 6 more days until the final weigh-in at work. When I checked my weight at the gym last night, I was 135lbs. I hope to be 131 by Monday. Why is this the week Domino's has half price pizza?

No, I haven't had any...yet. I've been good the last few days - 2 pieces of fruit every day, a LOT of water, vitamin C, D & B12. I've been eating less cheese and cooking with soy milk in place of regular milk. I've had a couple nights where I've been sure I was going to cave and eat some meat, but so far haven't been able to when it's decision-making time. I've gone to the gym 3 times in the past 5 days...All good stuff. I have had a few slip ups (a night of heavy drinking, some fuzzy peaches) but overall I feel I'm getting back in the zone.

For supper last night I made oven-roasted bell peppers stuffed with whole wheat couscous, golden potatoes, onion, garlic, olive oil, and almonds. They were deeeeelicious. And no cheese involved! And so pretty! Unfortunately I ate it before I could take a picture of it.

I've also been leaving my cards at home. I have a post-it on my desk counting down the working hours until I'm debt-free and it helps keep me focused. A grande soy white mocha is never worth financial freedom. In fact when I focus on things like that being the cause of being in the red, it makes the foods that used to get me so excited seem unappealing. Like cracking through the consumerism force field and seeing what's really underneath.

Speaking of work, gotta go!
